The second quarter of 2013 has seen a noticeable improvement in "deals done” in the agency department at Chown Commercial. This has begun to highlight how positive consumer and business sentiment is starting to find a way to do deals after a lengthy period of caution.

There can be no denying there has been a positive change of mood in the property industry this year, which was supported by news released confirming that GDP grew higher than expected in Q1 and was likely to grow in Q2 and Q3 by 0.3%.

The upward adjustment in the UK’s growth forecast is promising; however, it does not change the fact that the pace of recovery looks likely remain modest for a while yet. Nevertheless, in Q2 the agency department at Chown Commercial have a lot to celebrate with completion of the sale of Head Office Hub for Hinckley and Bosworth Council in Leicestershire where the team identified and secured a £13M development funding agreement to build the UK’s first Local Authority Hub.
