For many years Chown Commercial has employed student surveyors on University placements but in 2012 Hannah Bunting applied for the post of Trainee Surveyor as an apprentice, rather than on a placement.
Two years later Hannah has completed her NVQ in Surveying & Property, BTEC Property Construction & RICS Foundation Course in Valuation and this summer qualified as an Associate RICS Surveyor and Registered Valuer.
Hannah attended the Awards ceremony on 15th December expecting to be presented with her RICS Associate Certificate and was delighted to hear she had been nominated for the Best General Practice Apprentice Surveyor of the Year category. In an afternoon that became busier and busier she won this award and then went on to win Barnard Cook Bursary 2014, and the John Trustram Eve Apprentice of the Year 2014.
"Chown Commercial have valued Hannahs contribution to the practice over the last 2 ½ years says managing Director, Stephen Chown, "and this is very well deserved recognition for her hard work and careful study.”"It came as a complete surprise but I’m delighted and want to thank both the CSTT and Chown Commercial for supporting me through my career to date” said Hannah
